Mike Mikulik - Moderator
Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SPI Logistics
Mike Mikulik is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SPI Logistics. He is a very personable and enthusiastic person who is a collaborator and thinks out of the box. Mike has a unique background in all sides of the transportation industry from trucking to international freight forwarding and special projects. With more than 25 years’ experience he credits his School of Hard Knocks for his success.
You will find Mike easily engaging in conversation and his willingness to help and draw out the best in people. His positiveness is contagious and willingness to support his team grow personally and professionally.
Mike is a collaborator and think out of the box guy. He has had tremendous success in strategically enhancing the customer experience which in turn has led to new opportunities and revenue growth.
Mike lives and resides in Vancouver Canada where he has lived all his life.
Michael Lin
Senior Director of Supply Chain for The Musco Family Olive Company
Michael serves as the Senior Director of Supply Chain for The Musco Family Olive Company. The Musco Family Olive Company, based out of Tracy, CA, is the largest producer of domestic black ripe table olives with brands like Pearls and Early California. His responsibilities include Customer Service, Product Supply, 3PL Warehouse management, Transportation, and Purchase Contract Management. He has been with Musco for almost 6 years.
Michael is a 35-year veteran in the Supply Chain space, serving in various roles in manufacturing, engineering, finance, warehousing, and distribution. He has also led the start-up of manufacturing facilities, warehouses and implementation of transportation and warehouse optimization/management software systems. He has worked with Fortune 50 companies to privately held or family run organizations.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin as well as an MBA from The University of Houston. Along with his wife Ming-Wai, they are parents to 3 young adults and a 10-year-old Labradoodle. Michael enjoys golf, music and working in the community. He is active in his local church, as well as lends project management skills to community projects and community associations.
Bill Herring
Director of Corporate Transportation Sourcing at The Quikrete Companies
Bill Herring is a distinguished professional with a remarkable career spanning over three decades in the transportation industry. He holds a Doctorate in Pastoral Theology and a Doctorate in Business Administration, showcasing his diverse academic background and commitment to continuous learning. Additionally, Bill has earned a CLTL (Certified in Less that Truck load) and the Transportation Professional Certification (TCP) from the National Private fleet council further solidifying his expertise in the field.
Bill's career began humbly as a picker packer in a warehouse, where he developed a strong foundation in logistics and operations. Through dedication and hard work, he advanced through various roles, gaining extensive experience in driver management and carrier management. His journey is a testament to his perseverance and leadership skills.
Today, Bill serves as the Director of Transportation Sourcing at Quikrete International, where he leverages his vast knowledge and experience to optimize transportation strategies and drive efficiency. His strategic vision and hands-on approach have been instrumental in achieving significant improvements in the company's logistics operations.
Bill's professional journey is marked by his unwavering commitment to excellence and his ability to inspire and lead teams towards achieving organizational goals. His contributions to the transportation industry are highly regarded, making him a respected figure in his field.
Mark Palazzolo
Manager of Transportation & Freight Services, The Family of Companies
Mark Palazzolo brings 38 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, having held a variety of sales roles ranging from local to national and international levels. His career spans across multiple modes of transportation, including Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Truckload (T/L), and international air and ocean freight. He has also managed international warehousing operations, supporting customers setting up distribution networks across the EMEA region. Mark has served in leadership roles, including Assistant Regional Sales Director for both Panalpina and DHL.
Early in his career, while in his first sales role, he also took on operational duties, running line-haul in the Northwest on weekends for Viking Freight Systems. For the past 13 years, Mark has been with the Family of Companies, where he currently serves as the Manager of Transportation and Freight Services.
The Family of Companies is one of the largest privately held wholesale distributors of electrical, plumbing, and plastics products in the U.S. and Canada, with a growing global presence in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

Meet the Moderator
Gary Cornelius
VP of Business Development
Gary is the VP of Business Development of TCW, Inc., leading their Sales, Marketing, and customer-facing teams. He has 37 years of experience in transportation and logistics, including leadership roles in both Sales & Operations. Gary has been with TCW for 18 years, with his current tenure starting in 2013.
Gary serves as the co-Chair of TMSA’s Education Committee and is on the TMSA Board of Directors. He also does philanthropic work through The American Cancer Society, including advocacy, Relay for Life, and publicly speaks throughout the Southeast for the Society.
When not working or volunteering, Gary spends time with family at the lake, traveling and kayak fishing.
