Minneapolis, Nov. 7, 2018 (MindShare Strategies Media Services) – The Transportation Marketing & Sales Association (TMSA) is accepting entries for its 2019 Compass Awards Program. In its 67th year of existence, the program encourages excellence in marketing, communications, and sales practices in the commercial freight transportation and logistics industry.

“Nowhere in our industry is there more meaningful recognition of innovative strategy, creativity, solutions, and business results, than the TMSA Compass Award,” said Angie Davids, director of marketing for YRC Freight, and current chairperson of the TMSA Recognition Committee. “The coveted awards program aims to raise the standard and allows companies to benchmark their best work against others in the industry.”

This year's Compass Awards program will feature 15 submission categories: Integrated Campaign, Content Marketing, Social Media, Media Relations, Advertising, Events, Direct Marketing, Sales and Marketing Collateral, CRM Solution, Sales and Marketing Collaborated Effort, New Product Development, Pricing Process and Analysis, Recruiting or Retention Campaign, and Corporate Social Responsibility or Diversity Campaign. 

Entrants in the program are required to prepare a program blueprint that is a written description of their marketing or sales strategy, and any related work samples. Entries then are judged by industry peers and other well-respected marketing and sales experts nationwide. Both TMSA members and non-members are encouraged to enter.

The regular deadline to submit entries is Feb. 22, although an super saver deadline of Dec. 31 allows entrants to save U.S. $25 per entry. Recipients of the award will be recognized during a special program at the 2019 TMSA Logistics Marketing & Sales Conference, to be held June 9-11 at the Omni Amelia Island Plantation Resort near Jacksonville, FL.
