Qualifications Responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work remotely (and potential to travel to TMSA conferences)
  • Experience with CRM/sales software
    • Ability to track and provide visibility to all sales activity (phone calls, emails, proposals made, etc.) using deals within each assigned account. 
  • Ensure excellent communication and relationships with colleagues, including TMSA leadership and Sales Strategy Taskforce to identify prospects, prioritize, assign, share and follow-up on leads as needed.
  • Must be able to demonstrate, represent and uphold TMSA organizational values in all dealings with members, committees and suppliers: be welcoming, staying up to date on trends, networking across the industry, making an impact to advance the industry, and developing expertise and knowledge
  • Sales experience selling event sponsorships a plus
  • Aggressively develop new business and increase spend by all new and Affiliate association members and sponsorships, in line with sales goals.
  • Demonstrate persistence in cold-calling.
  • Ensure monthly and annual sales targets are achieved.
  • Manage and sell to all accounts directly assigned to the sales executive inside TMSA’s CRM/Sales management system.
  • Maximize revenue generation opportunities afforded by TMSA’s members and prospective members.
  • Cultivate email, virtual and telephone-based relationships.
  • Maintain and update leads, contacts, and opportunities within CRM. Use TMSA order processing in line with established processes, and in compliance with training provided by TMSA Headquarters.        
  • Supply reports and evidence for sales forecast, customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.

 

Job Description

The Transportation Marketing & Sales Association is looking for a Sales Executive who will be responsible for New Business Development, predominately focused on sponsorships, and including corporate and affiliate memberships.

The TMSA Sales Executive will self-manage their workload, prioritizing, generating and closing their leads, while working with TMSA Headquarters and Sales Strategy Taskforce to identify prospects, prioritize, assign, share and follow-up on leads as needed.
