2024 TMSA Trailblazer Award: IMC

ELEVATOR PITCH:

In 2023, IMC's Marketing Department worked to consolidate all regional brands under one umbrella, IMC. The Marketing Team oversaw the marketing and communications for both internal and external audiences, including team members, drivers, vendors, customers and potential customers. This process was executed utilizing various methods to ensure all parties received multiple layers of notification of the change and all concerns were addressed, as well as branding the transition as #TeamIMCin2023. In addition, the team saw the transition of 8 websites and social media pages into one, as well as logo changes were made on all 2,200 trucks and 50 buildings. The plan was so successful, IMC trucks are now representing the brand nationwide at all major ports and rails, in addition to our team members now proudly referring to themselves as #TeamIMC.

MEASURABLE RESULTS AND OBJECTIVES ACHIEVEMENT:

The transition began in April and one regional company transitioned each month until the conclusion of 2023. All 2,200 truck placards are installed as well as building signs. Website and social media pages are transitioned, along with an increase of Facebook followers by over 1000%.

BLAZING A TRAIL:

The transition of 8 companies was completed in 8 months, this is much faster than many companies often complete this task. This proves that integrating companies into another can be accomplished quickly, if a concrete marketing plan is utilized. The fact that this was accomplished while also growing our social media audience blazes a trail for IMC's Marketing Department.
