ELEVATOR PITCH:
Recognizing that during the 2020 Holiday Season, more than a million gifts ordered online were not delivered in time across the US, TAGG Logistics realized that there was an opportunity to help their customers avoid similar results in 2021. To help clients have a strong holiday season, the TAGGteam worked tirelessly to develop TAGG Peak Prep, an end-to-end e-commerce order fulfillment plan for mitigating uncertainty across the supply chain. Further, we sought to help our clients do more precise demand planning by thinking ahead about their holiday sales, overcommunicating potential parcel carrier delays to consumers, and understanding the impact on fulfillment of sales, special promotions and purchasing incentives. The Sales & Marketing team went into full swing to launch a fully integrated, comprehensive campaign plan to reach customers and the market at large with TAGG Peak Prep recommendations.
The plan included:
- TAGG Peak Prep logo / branding
- Small parcel shipping deadline custom infographic
- Extensive content development for recommendations and planning advice for the Peak Season
- Customer-facing presentation used by sales to educate existing customers and helping them anticipate volume needs
- 5 Peak Season blog posts
- 5 Customer and Prospect emails
- 11 Peak Season social posts
MEASURABLE RESULTS AND OBJECTIVES ACHIEVEMENT:
The original objective of this initiative was simple: Help clients stay ahead of shipping deadlines and ensure that 100% of their holiday gift-related orders were delivered in time. TAGG was successful in achieving that operationally through a highly effective communications plan and a well-prepared fulfillment team in its fulfillment centers. In terms of specific marketing results:
- The Emails in the campaign averaged a phenomenal 33% open rate with a total of 764 email clicks to the related blog posts.
- Social Posts also received very positive engagement, with 167 Likes and 228 Clicks to our related blog posts.
Note: This was a campaign to raise awareness about what it takes to have a successful peak season, not to generate leads per se.
BLAZING A TRAIL!:
Peak season is a tricky and stressful time for companies who fulfill holiday gift products to consumer doorsteps and retail stores — from the volume spike in orders to the nature of getting those goods into the consumers hands on a hard deadline. TAGG has truly blazed a trail with this campaign as a leader in the direct-to-consumer marketplace — intended to make the holiday fulfillment season run smoother and easier for these companies. Ultimately, we made sure consumers could end the holiday season happy with the gifts of their dreams!
